Aesthetics of colors
Berlin, Germany - Ballhaus Naunynstraße
2021
In Aesthetics of color is a play about a street artist that enters the white art universe of galleries and see his working changing through this universe. The whole set design of the play was a square of earth in the floor, as abstract as possible. The role of the lighting design was largely discussed. Should the light create the different spaces of the scenes literally? Should the light act as set design or should it follow the psychological narrative of the main character? The technical research, here, was to figure out how to lit the black skin and white skin in the same scenes without devaluing each of the actors. In the end of the process, the lighting represented the passage of time through the different spaces of the narrative.
